Well, I am not sure that I got the exposure quite right on this one... still not really used to the new lens. On the other hand, this shot does evoke that lovely call of the Whimbrel - a real sign that it is migration time along the Lothian coast.
Excellent shot - works great as a silhouette with the bill open. I find when you are birding with the camera you rarely have any time to fiddle with settings!
